Valli Motorsports Motorcycle Team
Rides in to Club Auto Sport

Signing of WORCS champion Bobby Bonds, plus other top riders provides early edge for 2009

San Jose, Calif., October 27, 2008 — Valli Motorsports is gearing up for a big 2009. The San Jose-based motorcycle team has signed three of the top seven riders on the pro points circuit including 2008 World Off Road Championship Series (WORCS) champion Bobby Bonds, and has scheduled 25 major off-road motorcycle events for the upcoming season—from Olympia, Washington to Daytona, Florida. Valli Motorsports is also making one other big move—relocating its base of operations to Club Auto Sport, a unique car condominium facility and exclusive club for motorsports enthusiasts in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Valli Motorsports is hoping the signing of Bobby Bonds, Kyle Summers, and Bobby Garrison proves to be the catalyst for a breakout year for the young off-road motorcycle racing business.

off-road motorcycle racing business. “Bobby Bonds won the final WORCS event to capture the individual pro points title by one point this season,” said Charles Halcomb, Vice President of Valli Motorsports and a noted race director with several national championships and dozens of International Six Days Enduro (ISDE) gold medals to his credit. “With Bonds and our other new riders, we have a realistic chance to repeat as WORCS champion, as well as be competitive in other major events around the country. We can’t wait to get to the starting line.”

Building the Business

While Halcomb directs the team’s activities, Chad Lanza, 35, is the owner and driving force behind Valli Motorsports. He is founder, president, and CEO of Valli Construction, Inc., a commercial contractor that since 2004 has grown from a single employee to a staff of more than 50—with annual sales today of over $75 million.

Lanza was a youth champion in bike motocross and is still an avid dirt bike rider, among other leisure-time activities. Valli Motorsports gives Lanza a chance to take his interest to a professional level.

“The off-road races we’re entering are really exciting,” Lanza said. “The circuits typically are four to six miles in length, with a number of obstacles such as logs, rocks, and water hazards that make the races great for the fans and riveting for television.”

The Valli Motorsports team expects to stay very busy in its 4,800 square foot condominium at Club Auto Sport-Silicon Valley, which will be used to maintain the bikes and prep the company’s 18-wheel semi tractor-trailer for travel. Valli Motorsports ordered 22 Honda motorcycles for its 2008 season, and the bikes—which take a tremendous beating in the races—will need to be completely taken apart and reassembled after each competition.

Club Auto Sport-Silicon Valley’s appeal for Valli Motorsports starts with its central location for the WORCS races—which are held in California, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington. The facility also puts Valli Motorsports in the midst of Northern California’s strong market for off-road bike racing. And it has enabled the company to buy—not lease—the precise amount of space it needed, while still enjoying the tax advantages and other benefits of ownership.

“Club Auto Sport is also highly secure—with the latest security protections such as optional web cams and sophisticated fire suppressant systems,” noted Lanza. “We enjoy the on-site services such as high-octane racing fuel, charging stations, plus cleaning service for our semi—with concierge and valet assistance when needed. There’s plenty of parking, and easy access to our space for our large semi. And Club Auto Sport even has conference and banquet facilities for doing business and entertaining our clients.”

The final touch is that Club Auto Sport-Silicon Valley is fast becoming a magnet for energy and innovation around activities related to the automobile and motorsports industries.

“We think we have all the elements in place to have a very successful debut, and many strong seasons to follow,” Halcomb remarked. “It’s great to be where the action is at Club Auto Sport.”
